i woke up feeling giddy like it was christmas morning knowing there was snow outside my apartment. i hadn't seen snow since the 2022 winter in iowa, a cold and gruesome time, yet i think back on it fondly. i wore my only winter jacket i had left, brought my camera out and took pictures. that was the only time i left the house today. it felt like i'd travelled to a different world — like those movies where the sun is dying and the world is ending.
